Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds—of which cannabidiol (a.k.a. CBD) is just one. There are phyto (meaning plant) cannabinoids, and chemical compounds that mimic the actions of phytocannabinoids or have a similar structure. There are 113 known cannabinoids found in cannabis.

Full-spectrum hemp products contain an array of beneficial cannabinoids (CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, and more), terpenes, and phytonutrients that occur naturally in hemp. We believe maintaining properties that mirror those of the whole plant vs. only parts of the plant creates a myriad of benefits for the skin and body because it is closer to what we find in nature.
-
Trichomes — defined as “fine outgrowths or appendages on plants” — produce THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids. Trichomes have a “frosty” appearance and coat cannabis and hemp plants’ leaves, buds, and flowers, and indicate a plant is potent and high quality.

We each have an endocannabinoid system (or ECS), which is is a complex cell signaling system in the body that’s involved in a variety of processes such as pain, inflammation, stress, mood, metabolism, sleep, and immune function. It includes endocannabinoids, which are the cannabinoids we produce in our body naturally (the two known ones are anandamide, or AEA, and 2-arachidonoylglyerol, or 2-AG), cannabinoid receptors (called the CB1 & CB2 Receptors), and the enzymes that break them down.
The ECS was discovered about 3 decades ago when researchers were studying the effects of THC, a popular known cannabinoid. To this day, there is still a lot of research being done about the ECS and how we can treat our bodies with the array of cannabinoids found in hemp — all of which we find very exciting!
When we introduce cannabinoids to the body, including putting them on our skin, the ECS receptors are signaled to help balance and regulate activity where there may already be imbalance.

Hemp oil (also known as hemp seed oil) is pressed from hemp seeds, resulting in a nutrient rich oil full of essential fatty acids, chlorophyll, and various other nutrients.
CBD oil may or not be pressed directly from the stems, stalks, and flowers of the hemp plant. More often than not CBD oil refers to a carrier oil (such as MCT oil) that has a blend of cannabinoids and terpenes (obtained via an extraction process on the hemp) added into it in precision quantities.

There are several ways to extract CBD from a hemp or marijuana plant. 707 Flora Tinctures are proprietary formulas that have been made using CO2 extraction, a method that uses pressurized carbon dioxide to take as many desirable cannabinoids or properties from a plant as possible. With 707 Flora CBD + Turmeric Tinctures, this process is used for both the hemp plant and for turmeric, so only the most effective actives with the highest potency are included in each bottle. This method is also considered the most sustainable option!

Hemp and marijuana are both cannabis, or Cannabis Sativa L., but there’s a big difference: Hemp contains <0.3% THC whereas marijuana contains >0.3% THC.
-
Our products contain less than .3% THC (a very small amount). However, because of the fat-soluble nature of THC and other cannabinoids, accumulation may reach levels that can be detected on a routine drug test.
There are many variables in individual genetics, lifestyle, and metabolism that make it impossible to know if you will pass or not. If you are concerned with passing a drug test, we do not recommend using any of our products, or CBD oil in general.

No. There is a bell curve effect with CBD, meaning the more you use doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to work better. In the case of skincare products, we’re dosing microscopic skin cells that are on the outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis.
To microdose the skin, 707 Flora topical products have anywhere from 12 to 40 mg of full spectrum hemp. This would be a standard amount for what you would use for percentages of other actives, like algae and plankton for efficacy.
Along those same lines: it's also not just about the amount of CBD used that makes products effective, but its synergistic effect of a multiple of high-performance actives.

CBD + Turmeric Tinctures are incredibly relaxing! But at most, a bottle that contains 1000mg of total cannabinoids at .3% THC. At such a low dose, it's unlikely you will experience psychoactive feelings, or what people associate with a "high."
-
Yes! As of May 2019, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has updated its policy to allow hemp-derived CBD products on domestic flights.

This depends on individual biochemistry, metabolism, consistency of dosing, and the severity of symptoms.
Many report improved conditions within 30-45 minutes, whereas others may need up to a week of daily use to experience benefits. It is important to find the dosage that is right for you — we recommend starting with a low dose of 5-10mg, and slowly increasing from there until you reach the desired result.
