Why Washing Your Face Should Be Like "Raking the Leaves"
Why exfoliate?
Many of us know that exfoliation is an important part of any skincare routine — it helps remove dead skin cells, allowing the pores to absorb nutrients.
Think of your face like a beautiful lawn you want to treat and water so the grass grows luscious and green. Now imagine the dead skin cells as dead leaves covering the grass. You'd want to rake the leaves before treating the lawn, right? Otherwise, the water will barely penetrate the layer of leaves, doing little to treat the grass below — which is the layer where growth occurs!
The issue with many cosmetic exfoliants is that they use of microplastics. Due to their small size, plastic microbeads used in many popular exfoliants can pass through filter plants and end up in water systems, posing a harm to fish and other sea life. So while developing our full-spectrum hemp face wash, we knew we had to find an alternative to microbeads that didn't damage the environment.
Core Cleanser uses castor oil beads instead microplastics.
Equally as effective in gently polishing skin to remove that layer of "dead leaves," the tiny beads in Core Cleanser are made from oil derived from castor seeds and are completely freshwater degradable. From the seed, to your skin, and back to the earth, this formula is clean, effective, and eco-friendly!
